How to Choose a Selfie Stick
Reach, collapsed length, load, adapter, water
A selfie stick is chosen on five questions: how far it reaches, how short it collapses, what load it is built for, which adapter it uses for your camera and for a phone, and what happens when it gets wet. The sticks on this site answer those questions differently, and the choice should start from the shoot: a long landscape reach, a compact travel pole, a tripod that stands alone, a stick for water, and a stick for 360 footage are different products, even when they share the name selfie stick.
The water question decides between the two detail pages. The carbon fibre stick is explicitly not fully waterproof: it resists corrosion and suits humid and coastal environments, but it is not a diving pole and must not be ordered as one. The floating tripod stick is the product with a published waterproof depth figure, and water use should start from its detail page, with the load limit checked against your camera's weight including any housing.
360 sticks and tripod combinations
For 360 cameras, ask whether the stick is a dedicated invisible stick or an ordinary extendable pole used with a 360 camera, and ask for the conditions under which the stick stays out of the stitched footage for your camera generation. For tripod use, ask whether the stick stands alone or needs a separate tripod, and confirm the combination as a combination rather than assuming a stick and a tripod bought separately work together.
No stick figure from one product may be carried across to another. Each detail page's figures belong to that product alone, and every other stick is family-level until the supplier confirms its figures in writing for that exact model.
What to confirm before ordering
What to confirm before ordering: ask the supplier to confirm the exact model and camera fit, the specification basis for any figure quoted, current availability, and the commercial terms for your order. Put the camera model, the accessory model, and the quantity band in your inquiry so the answer can be checked against the listing.
